Assoc Prof Dr Siti Rosnah Maarof

Director of Nursing MAHSA Specialist Hospital

Dr. Siti Rosnah Maarof holds a BSc in Nursing from the UK, an MS in Nursing from the US, an MSc from the UK, and an MBA in Hospital Management from Malaysia, where she received the Vice Chancellor’s Award. She also earned a PhD in Nursing from Malaysia and is a Malaysian Nursing Board Certified Registered Nurse. Currently, she serves as the Director of Nursing at MAHSA Specialist Hospital and is an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at the School of Nursing, MAHSA University.

With a 32-year nursing career, Dr. Siti Rosnah has 9 years of experience in Malaysia and 23 years in Saudi Arabia, specializing in Peri-Operative Care Nursing. She is a certified instructor by the American Heart Association for Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and is also an HRDF Trainer.

Dr. Siti Rosnah is a member of various nursing associations, including the Malaysian Nurses Association, the American Society of Peri-Anesthesia Nursing, and the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses. She serves on the Nursing Research & Evidence-Based Practice Committee. For the past 8 years, she has been an Adjunct Professor and Coordinator of the Nursing Program at MAHSA University, mentoring over 500 Malaysian nurses in Saudi Arabia pursuing advanced degrees.

Her notable achievements include multiple publications and presentations at international and local symposiums. One distinguished article, “The Effects of Listening to the Qur’an in the Postoperative Management of Patients Undergoing Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy in the Day Surgery Unit,” was published in the Journal of Peri-Anesthesia Nursing by Elsevier in October 2022.
