Maaedicare Charitable Foundation
Established 30 years ago, the Maaedicare Charitable Foundation has been making a difference for marginalised communities through its nonprofit arms – the Kidney Charity Fund, the Heart Charity Fund and Klinik Amal Percuma, the medical non-governmental organisation (NGO) has been actively making a difference in communities to promote a strong, caring culture by providing affordable access to quality medical treatments, essential drugs and healthcare, at subsidised costs. 90% of our subsidies are financed entirely by voluntary contributions. Every donation is important to the Foundation, and we are grateful for each contribution we receive. The Foundation seeks to secure funding from a broad range of sources in order to have a strong financial base and preserve its operational independence.
Maaedicare has been providing needy patients with quality medical dialysis care since 1994. Now, our Foundation is the second largest non-profit organisation in Malaysia providing subsidised treatment and care to over 820 patients at 12 dialysis centres nationwide.
Another keystone to our Foundation is the Heart Charity Fund. Our cardiac diagnostic centres strive to provide state-of-the-art cardiac and vascular treatments to needy patients.
Klinik Amal Percuma – A free clinic programme established by the Maaedicare Charitable Foundation and the Malaysian Red Crescent Society that provides FREE medical services to underprivileged communities.
